How fees work
Here is how paying works, in the order most parents ask.
Insurance we work with
We are in network with many dental plans and out of network with others. If we are out of network we still file the claim for you. The owner lists the plans in the hub; plan types are shown here.
Most PPO plans: in network
Plans we are not in network with: we file the claim
Medicaid and CHIP: accepted for children
Dental HMO plans: call us before the visit
If you pay yourself
If your child has no dental plan, you get a written estimate before treatment. You pay at the visit. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Pay at the visit
A written estimate first
Third-party financing, set by the lender
Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit you get an itemized statement. You can send it to a plan that reimburses. The plan decides whether it pays, and how much.
Itemized, every visit
Procedure codes on request
An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask. It lists the visit, each step we expect and the fee for each.

Checking your benefits
We check your child’s benefits before the first visit and tell you what the plan lists. The plan has the final word, and we tell you if anything looks different at the visit.

What the first visit includes
About 30 to 45 minutes: a talk, a look at your child’s teeth and gums by Dr. Chandran, X-rays only if she needs them, and a written estimate before any treatment. Fill in your child’s health history on our private patient portal, not by email or in the contact form.

X-rays only if needed
